What a notice must include
To be effective under the DMCA, your notice must include: identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it; your name, address, telephone number, and email address; a statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner; and your physical or electronic signature.
What happens next
Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the identified material and notify the user who uploaded it. That user may submit a counter-notification under the DMCA, in which case we will follow the process the statute provides. DeskPanther may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Misrepresentation
Under the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.
